Welcome to El Nakhil, an Arabic word meaning palm trees and that is what you'll see all around us - lush farm land and palms on the edge of El Gezera village, West Bank, Luxor. We are a family run hotel, situated in pleasant surroundings in the heart of Luxor but away from the crowds. Built in 2005 to the highest western standards, but with a heart that is entirely Egyptian, this friendly hotel looks forward to opening their doors to you, their most welcome visitor.

We are only a five minute walk from the Nile which divides Luxor in two. It divides the West Bank's tombs, temples and rural life from the East Bank's bazaars, discos, McDonald's, the airport, railway station and of course Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Many people say the West Bank is the best side to stay on, as one of our guests said "This is the place where you can hear the sound of silence"

A German/Egyptian concern, this lovely hotel understands what the western tourist wants and has the local contacts to make it happen. The manager is fluent in both English and German and is always on hand to offer assistance. The front of house staff all speak English as well.
